Good to know.
Just another post since I forgot including my mail adress in the last one.
Comforting... I sincerly loved the passenger, makes me think of Tim Burtons early work yet with much better quality in the end-product, truly inspiring... Makes me want to understand 3D-modelling just to see if I might be capable of producing, say... 4 seconds of movie magic???!Have a Good Day Sir,Arne Öhman, Bjästa Sweden
This intro instantly reminded me of yours. Even the lighting sounds the "same". http://www.cgchannel.com/2010/09/firefall-cinematic-trailer/
Wow, Chris, just read most of your site after discovering your film on YouTube. The Passenger was fantastic. Hope your next project doesn't take as long. Will send you a more detailed e-mail. We have a lot in common-- especially the 'eggs in one basket' scenario.
Ryan- Pretty close!Sorry your comment took a while to show up by the way my blog decided it was spam for some reason. Happens sometimes.
Hello Chris,I just finished watching "The Passenger", and I thought it was awesome. I love your character design (the fish burping was a highlight for me), and just the feel in general. As an aspiring animator, I am going to "research" your blog :) Thanks again!
So what are you doing now? When's the last time you did any 3D?
It's been so long I almost forget how to do it! Developing new projects, none of which necessitate any 3D at at this stage.
loved the film, so are you not working in animation?
Not exactly, I've started messing around with 3D again though.
Hi Chris... Have read your making-of and sincerely hope you continue making more 3D films. You are immensely talented... plus LightWave 11 looks exciting! :P I've been trying to find more info about other animations by you (not cyber stalking, I swear!) and am slightly worried that you are no longer insane... which is to say that that would be a loss for 3D and the film-making world in general. If you like Kubrick, I highly recommend Stanley Kubrick's Boxes... your perfectionism reminds me of that documentary.
Think I might have seen Boxes - I'm not quite that barmy yet, but working on it! Most of what I've done since The Passenger is owned by someone else, and will probably never to see the light of day unfortunately. You can see some of my pre-Passenger work if you search for "KKND Krossfire intro" though.
That is a shame about ownership... The KKND Krossfire intro is fantastic, especially for that time. Thanks for pointing that out!
